Hi all! I have an issue in 3ds Max 2021. The probel is the Prepar3D PBR Material Slate isn't there. The normal Prepar3D Material is.. I have configured the path to the SDK as usual.

When I load the Oil Rig from the 3ds max example, I then do have the Prepar3D PBR Material Slate..

Why is this?

Ive never used the Slate version. Have you tried the basic Materials window to see what it shows? Maybe they just didnt make a Slate version of the material layout.

Bit of an old thread, but in case other people have this same issue and find this thread, the issue is that newer versions of 3DS Max default to the new Arnold renderer instead of the older renderer, and the Arnold renderer does not have the Prepar3D shader. It can be fixed by going to Renderer in the topbar, then Render Setup, then selecting the Renderer dropdown menu and selecting Scanline Renderer.
