Hi guys and girls, quick question!
Last week I upgraded my PC, made a nice clean install of all my programs including Photoshop. To export my textures I previously used the older DDS-plugin from Nvidia to export from Photoshop, elimination the annoying process of using LM’s ImageTool.exe for the conversion.
However, I couldn’t find the old plugin and instead tried the new Nvidia Texture Tools Exporter (OpenGL). Now the problems already start when applying the textures in ModelconverterX and the models won’t even show in Prepar3d, (both v4.5 and v5). I know it’s got something to do with the chosen setting, because when I convert with the ImageTool.exe everything is fine.
All names in the Nvidia plugin have changed, probably because of newer imaging techniques. The BC3 option, aka DTX 4 or DTX 5, should be the right one, as DTX 5 gave the best results in the past, but this doesn’t work for me at the moment.
Does anyone use this tool? Any suggestions for the subsettings?
