Hello all!
This is my first post!
I'm very glad to be here in such a helpful community with great content!
My question about modeling for MSFS 2020:
Let's say i'm building a custom road model with many lamp posts at each side.
One option would be to just repeat the same model (array in blender) along the road as many times required and then export it as a single mesh to the game.
But in many engines this would be better handled with instancing, so only one lamp post is loaded in memory, and then repeated along the road (as an instance) as many times required.
I would imagine that the same thing can be done in MSFS by exporting the road and the lamp post as separate objects, and then in scene editor, placing all the lamps on the road.
But the instances are too many to place by hand.
So... is there a way to have many instances of a mesh placed in MSFS 2020, without placing them one by one? Maybe a way to export/import this information?
thanks!
