• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Oh, The Bounty of Modeling

Thank you Marc L, those are beautiful ships; I have looked at them in detail. Unfortunately they would be more demanding in both parts and polys than the HMS Bounty and would not be possible for me to do. I have been wrestling with limits for months now on the Bounty. This project has been a "filler of sorts" so a nice distraction from my aircraft projects. We have four Lockheed Harpoons, three Lodestars and a Vega Ventura in the final stages of production, plus a Rockwell Aero Commander 685 and a Grumman Mallard ready for the paint shop. If I do another ship, it would likely be the Greek warship, Trimeme.

HMS Bounty is now released, separate packages for FSX and FS9 due to sim interfaces, and can be downloaded from sim-outhouse.com.

by Milton Shupe, Nigel Richards, Rob Barendregt, Sasha Rieger, and Rob Ibey. Helmsman by Craig "Full" Richardson

HMS Bounty 18th Century Tall Ship square rigger completely wind driven, individually animated and controlled sails, animated flags with direction and wind speeds, animated helm, and Sail Management Window to control all ship fuctions. Ship responds to wind speeds and direction with yaw, keeling, and pitch depending on sails deployed and yard arm positions. Ambient sounds, variable wind and gale storm sounds, ship's bell, "Salute", anchor weigh/drop all add to immersion.

The package contains 6 liveries: HMS Bounty original, the 1960 replica Early and Late rebuild schemes, HMS Endeavor, HMS Beagle, and the original ship, Bethia.

BIG NOTE: The latest version of FSUIPC is Required for the HMS Bounty to work.

Note: Realism settings should be set to "Hard" for best Wind Effects (Will not work on "Easy" realism in FSX.)

Thanks for the heads up Milton! I must try it out. Impressive work. Love those textures. Should be interesting in P3D with their big waves.
