• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FS2004 OMDW - Dubai World Central build - world's biggest

No, it will not. It simply puts the X on the surface.

To block AI aircraft from using a taxi way, make a break in the taxiway and overlap the ends slightly.

Need help with runway specifications, what is exactly the left or right pattern and how is it in effect in the sim?

It has to do with how they will turn on a missed approach or touch and goes in the pattern. So in your case with parallel runways you want them to be turning away from the other runway, so they are not in conflict with departing traffic off the other runway. In short for the sim and AI it won't be an end all for them as most of the stuff there would be on an IFR plan, and they will be given turning directions or runway heading on departure most of the time. It also has to do with how you would enter the pattern while inbound but again this is more to do with VFR traffic.

Glad to see you still playing with this airport. I am definitely interested!

Oh thank you for your interest, means a lot. Missed approach you mean the go-around? Because I'm testing some things and I don't see changes. Here's what I'm trying to do, AI coming from any Western side should be landing on 30R and the ones coming from Eastern side would be on 31L but they keep using most of the time 31L coming from any direction, why? Is there a way to force west and east approach or will it be too complex?
30C takeoffs open, landing closed.
30R takeoffs closed, landing open.
31L takeoffs closed, landing open.
31R takeoffs open, landing closed.

It’s my understanding that the left/right pattern setting does not affect takeoffs at all. They will always turn towards the direction they need to go to their destination. The only thing that affects (as far as I know) is the direction that AI aircraft in VFR flight plans will make their pattern to the runway. It might affect user flown VFR aircraft as well?

Somehow someway I think I lost my project file that I always worked on before compiling for BGL file but luckily I still have the BGL file, continuing working on the airport is fine through the BGL by opening it and keep on editing/adding stuffs?
