• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3Dv4.4 MDL import/export corrupt mouse rectangles in VC model

In the meantime is it possible to "repair" my modified model manually?
I tried to import it, complete the missing part of the ModelDef.xml in the MCX editor, then export the MDL but without success.

Was a solution ever found to this issue?

I've just run into the same problem whilst trying to convert an aircraft to MSFS 2020. Now clicking the magneto switch, moves the nav light switch instead. Tool tip is for the nav light too. I've also got a cockpit light click spot which takes up most of the panel space, blocking everything that's behind it. All the animations seem correct, just the mouse rectangles ave become screwed up.

I exported from MCX using Sean's x64 XtoMDL, as the P3Dv1.4 version was giving me OOM erros.

Hi,

I don't think this was solved. But if you have a sample file that shows the issue (if possible a small file with only affected mouse rectangles) I can have a look.

Thanks for the offer Aron.

Unfortunately the parts in question are part of a larger file, that itself is part of a payware product, so I can't share the modified file. I'm just trying to see if I can get some of my favorite aircraft from FSX/P3D into MSFS as an interim until official updates are released. Nothing to pressing.
