• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello everybody!

Let me solve this mystery for you...
It's absolutely right, Estonia is.

Now some people might think:
Why the hell do you create Estonia?!

The decisive factor was this video, which I saw purely by chance:
And it was only then that I really noticed how bad Estonia actually looks with openLC.

And since the Baltic States provide excellent data, I have started to implement Estonia - with my usual standards.

So, here are a few new pictures of Estonia:

Didn't know they used peat for fires in Estonia. The big brown stain on the mid-right of the original picture is a bog that's been stripped for peat which is going to be used for fires. It's still common here.

Do you also consider on doing Finland (at least around Helsinki) and Latvia?

No, currently I have no plans on creating Finland and Latvia.
But, uh... We'll see. It depends on how Estonia is doing. Maybe you can convince me that other Baltic states are worth it!

Latvia would be the next step towards central europe and should be processed quite quick as its a smaller country.

Finland would be very nice with the upcoming Helsinki scenery from MK Studios ;)

Anyway i am happy whatever you deliver :)
 
I have noticed the same above the N41'30 lattitude. Above this lattitude the file is like 4 times than below it.

I think it has something to do with the grids inside the simulator when compiling.
