• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX Released! Marsa Alam, Egypt

The screenshots look very nice! Please make also a FS9 conversion. Drebciwiki Design has released Chisinau for FS9 last week, too. Digital Disgn will bring Salzburg this spring for FS9, too. Marsa Alam would be a nice charter destination beside of Hurghada (V2 is planned by simbreeze) and Sharm El Sheikh in FS9.

No need for Jetman to bring this to FS9. Albysim got you covered: http://fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/marsa-alam-hema-albysim-new-project.436330/#post-737389

Sorry but the Albysim quality is comparable with Blueprintsimulation. Insiders know what I mean.
I also know his Mombasa addon, but the quality is horrible!

Even as freeware I would avoid Albysim.

One good thing is, that Marsa Alam airport is not very big, so that a conversion to FS9 should not take too much time.

I hate to say it, but it's what you get when you stick to a 12-year old platform that has 5(!) newer simulators following it up (FSX, FSX:SE and all 3 versions of P3D). I get that not everyone wants or can switch to FSX/P3D for reasons like: having bought countless addons that become wortless in an instant and not having the money to invest in new hardware. But the truth is, most people and developers won't stay with one platform (especially when it's 12 years old) because it either holds back new technologies or developing for it costs an amount of work that won't repay itself back. Imagine for example that people and companies in the 80s never said: "this Commodore 64 sucks! I/we can do this better!" Because if they did, we would still be playing FlightSimulator II. The line: "Stagnation is decline" is especially true in the world of technology.
So until you decide to switch to a newer platform, I guess you'll have to make peace that the amount of new addons for FS9 only becomes less and less.

PS: If you have the funds, I definitely recommend the switch to P3D. It still has the feeling of an MSFS but it's better in almost every aspect you can think of.

Dear Venom
is not really nice, after some people like us put a lot of energy, free time and love in a project, to read that you find our sceneries “horrible” and “to avoid”, but fortunately we have received hundred of positive feedbacks from users who are satisfied with our sceneries. However we know that there is always more to learn and improve , therfore thanks anyway for your opinion: it will be a reason to work even harder and improve the quality of what we are doing.

Hello Albybz,
I just looked to your website and looked a some picture, It is well done, I understand how hard it is to develope (as we are with our 4th beta and still a lot of problems discovered) and plus, you are developing for FS9 wich got more limitations than FSX and even more than P3D. All can I say is keep going ;) it is your passion

GoodLuck :)

Thank you Marc, your feedback is very appreciated, especially since, as a developer, you know how many difficulties and frustrations we encountered before arriving to finish a scenery. Good work and good luck to you too.
