Hi guys,

New model in the works for the Turbo Commander 690 based on the 685. Spent about an hour removing materials and unsmoothing parts with TC690 specific parts and glass next to be built. For now, it will be the non-winglet version, but a version with the winglets is possible. Will be freeware and FSX only :D

18 propeller blades, 6 spinners, custom propeller discs and custom alpha channels make up the entire propeller system. Although currently using default animations, the entire propeller system will have custom coding built in. Also, First layer of white paint to check for errors and discrepancies. Besides some areas needing smoothing, everything is looking good. External model minus the smaller bits mapped on 2 sheets. Gear mapping also has started with animations to follow once done with mapping. The external model is almost close to being finished.

Gear animation done, minus gear doors and the linking of other parts.

As you wanted to redo the nacelles: Did you position the struts according to blueprints or relative to the current nacelle model?

This is a great collaboration project starting with Rotohub's AC685 Piston Commander. He is doing the native FSX side. I am doing the FS9 side for the 685 and euroastar350 is converting the 685 to a TurboProp 690 for native FSX.

Here are a few shots of the my FS9 AC685 ported to FSX.

Fliger747 did the FSX flight model, Rotohub is doing the textures shown here in the base white. He is currently working on interior textures.

Euroastar350 will bring the 690 TP to the awesome threesome. :)

Didn't know there was more than the 690 in the assembly line. This is a nice surprise!

I am going to take it a step further and do the rest of the line including the larger 840, 900, 980 and 1000 variants. The 690A and 690B share the same length and dimensions, while the other four aircraft are the same length and dimensions from the from the first two 690 aircraft

attachment-1.jpeg attachment.jpeg attachment-2.jpeg attachment-3.jpeg Some new images.

Exterior is about 90% mapped with various bits and pieces in need of texturing. Painting is ongoing as well

Animations about 70% complete. I am looking into doing a simulated Garrett TPE331 engine simulation similar to Flysimware's Cessna 441 Conquest, I will have a chat with Mark Taylor to see how he did it

Interior mapping and texturing is in it's first stages and hopefully should be done in a few weeks or less, it all depends on my time though

Arild (rotorhub) is possibly redoing the nacelles. I am awaiting his response so I can send him material needed to do the nacelles. Winglets are also planned

After the 690 series is done, there is a possibility I may do the remaining larger 840, 900, 980 and 1000 series aircraft as those four are essentially the same airframe.

Looking for a painter(s) to do a paintkit and some liveries

Some new images. Interior mapping is in progress plus I added the flashing beacons that is carried over from my Bell 222. Any ideas where I can get carpet and interior samples so I can paint the interior?

CG Textures have a huge assortment of good carpet and interior surface samples in their library, and even if they aren't quite the right color, you can easily modify them to suit your needs. ;) That's what I do anyway.

Also PM me if you'd like me to show you how to make custom reflection maps. I made some for my Challenger and they are LIGHTYEARS ahead of the "GlobalEnv_AC_Chrome" that comes stock with FSX. :D

Been a while since the last update as I have multiple projects across the boards right now, so I had some time to work on this one tonight. The model has now spawned winglets as shown in the renders. As of today, the exterior is about 95% complete with little left to do including the coding of the custom lighting. Interior work is only at 30% complete as I am redoing the interior walls. Anywho, I'll post another update soon:)
