• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX Rotation work perfectly in GMAX but not in the FSX

Hello Guys,
After an Long time. I tryed me again the Scenery Designing. In the April I start to create an Radar Scanner, for scanning the Traffic near around my Airport. I finished the Modeling, in the April. Today I add the Animation. So I did it: I select my Radar bar and press the Rotate Button. After this I press the Animate Button. And Rotate the Radar bar about 10 degress. Then I press on the Arrow Key to move on the next Frame. After I finish this I press the "Time Configuration" button. As start Value I enter 0 and as Finish Value i enter 15. I set the Frame Rate to 20. Because of that i goto "FS Tools" and then "AnimationManager" selected "All" by "Groups" in the AnimationList I search for "Ambient", I enter the start value in the "Start" Field and the End Value in the "End" Field. Press "Create". And I Export this. In the ModelConverterX the model rotate for my first Time perfect. When I use the .MDL File in the ADE v165 and set this on my custom Airport and Export the Airport. In the FSX the Model will draw complete with all my Colors and Texture. When the Object start to Rotate is will Rotate complete and then wait this 6 Seconds. After the 6 Seconds the Model startet again to Rotate. An Example:
Currently work this model so: rotate complete and wait 6 Seconds then again rotate ...
Thus it should to Work: rotate complete and again rotate complete without pauses.
I Upload my Textures and GMAX Project and the .MDL File as an Zip File.

you have to make sure you have key from the start to the finish of the animation. I say this because sometimes the first key is forgotten when moving the motion slider to the next key (by experience).
With the key icon you can assign a keyframe.

You can add this keys for exemple:
25 – 60º
50 – 120º
75 – 180º
100 – 240º
125 – 300º
150 – 360º

set the keys every 25 keyframe, and adding 60º of rotation. and a lenght of 150 in the time configurator.
As said before you have to set a initial keyframe at the start of the animation in the keyframe "cero".

The animation must be "lineal". Go to the button "Motion" and there assign a lineal motion to the rotation animation. and to control the speed of rotation you have the timer configurator and keys.
