There's another post I was initially going to post this in, http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=425798&highlight=rotor+animation , although the topic was created so long ago I was unable to do so.
I've been experimenting with bits of info found here at FSD, pertaining to rotor animations and visibility tags. I have strange things going on when I load the model in the sim. I'm hoping someone might have an idea as/to why.
I have three animation states;
Main rotor assy left/Main rotor assy right = Still/Complete Assy / Animated 0-100 / Visibility Tag = rotor_still
Main rotor assy left/Main rotor assy right = Slow/Complete Assy / Animated 0-100 / Visibility Tag = rotor_slow
Rotor blur disk left/Rotor blur disk right = blurred/2-sided, mapped and textured / Animated 0-100 / Visibility Tag = rotor_blurred
I have started from scratch three times by deleting all animation tags, and all visibility tags. Nothing I do seems to eliminate the problem in sim.
All testing is being done in Prepar3D v2, and I am using Gmax v1.2, along with the FSXA SDK. I've yet to have any issues. I guess this could be a first for not using the correct SDK.
