• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS Saab MFI-17 "Mushshak (The proficient)"

With this screenshot I officially announce the completion of my external model, small changes may be made, also if anyone is good at bone animation and would like to help me, kindly send me a PM... I want to rig this model.

And I know about the squadron badges, they are not correct but they are all I have for the moment.

Maybe I'm missing something, but aren't there two controlsticks in this aircraft? Since it's a trainer you'd definitely think so right? ;)

There are but I won't increase my workload by working on both of them at the same time... I can just work on one and then copy it! ;)

Well, I am almost done with the cockpit, will just change the dashboard textures, rest all will remain same, what do you guys think?

It lacks the feeling that it is a 'used' airplane. There are some smudges on the main panel, and tiny scratches on the switch panel, but that's about it. The center console is completely clean and so is most of the airplane. Since it's a trainer, it sees heavy use, so why not make it look like it? Of course this is just my opinion, but I think it will give this aircraft some well deserved charisma!

And are only the gauges lit? Or should the panel be lit too?

A lovely piece of work. Back in the early 1970's I had the opportunity to fly both the MFI-9C and the MFI-15. At the time, my company was interested in importing them into the US. The planes were great fun to fly and I am happy you've chosen to produce this fine looking model. I can now look forward to some day recreating my Malmo/MFI experience. By the way; along with all the other good ideas expressed here, you might wish to consider lighting the compass. Best!

Nice to hear from you. My father flew one of the Pakistani made Mushshak for about 40 hours, I hope I can do justice to you guys! :D

Here's a shot, it got a little out of hand but I'll correct it, and will light up the panel a little bit... here it is:

That's getting close sir, really very nice!
But you might consider to change the shade of the gauge backplates, since they have now the same color as the panel itself.

Thanks, I was considering changing the color of the panel to a bit lighter version

Alright, done with coloring and stuff, no more changes will be made unless really required... however, I have a question does anybody know of a 2D gauge that simulates the part of the COMM/NAV radio encircled here (bendix king kx125 TSO)

Very nice sir! Have you programmed everything already?

Yet I suggest to add a bit of damage at the cockpit's sides, so just below the canopy. Most likely, pilots will enter the plane there and so hit there with their shoes. Put their hands there, so it might be smudgy.

Also, add a few scratches at the walls next to the rudder pedals. Add a bit of wear to the carpet at the floor, where the pilot's feet stand or move at the pedals. So: lightened areas

;)

I find this fine according to the cockpit I have taken pictures off, maybe someone who likes damaged cockpit can add this to their own, rest all programming regarding the gauges (along with the animation) has been done except for the one I mentioned here!!!

Your choice, it's your airplane! ;)

If you need help with animating/coding, feel free to ask!

Yes, I need help with the radio panel window in the middle that I encircled in previous picture, can you help with that? I am looking for 2D options here.

Are there any similarities with the default radio's? What functions do you want to be working?
