• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi Arno!

I have a simple question for you just because i can't really understeand if CAT can compile the next kind of animation:

1.First animation:Box01 (tick18) moving from poin A to point B (1024 frames)

2.Second animation: Box01(tick18) moving from point B to point C (1024 frames)

I already tried to compile this kind of animation with CAT but... :( no results.Any sugestion? What I intend to create is a car moving for more than 1 minute in my airport.

PS. Excuse my poor English.I'm from Romania.:D

Hi,

That is not a kind of setup that CAT supports directly. You could set them up as secondary animations, but CAT has no option to play them after each other.

That is something you would manually have to tweak in the ASM files I am afraid.

Hi Arno.

Thank you for your reply.
Well, I just created that kind of animation, compiled with CAT and ... it works!!! The only problem is that in certain moments, the animation becomes invisibile.I use the 18hz condition for both animation.
I'm actually trying to create a follow me car:).If is no possibile to compile with CAT, you think will be hard to manually tweak the ASM files? I have already succesfully created the ground polys of LROP ( Otopeni - Bucharest) using the tutorials of FSDeveloper. For that - as you know - you have to tweak the asm code, but it was easy. For the type of animation that I need, I suppose the tweaking will be really hard.If this is correct , can I find here that kind of tutorial?
Thanks again!

Please excuse my english an my exprimation.

Hi,

There is nothing wrong with your English.

Can you explain what kind of condition you now used for the secondary condition? That might explain why the object sometimes disappears.

I am afraid there is no tutorial on this kind of advanced animation tweaking, but if you send me the ASM files CAT made I can help you to tweak (and post the results here so other can learn from it as well).
