• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Skysoft Simulation is currently developing a large airport in southern China region on the platform of FSX. Here we deliver some pictures of the construction in progress.:D

Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (Chinese: 深圳宝安国际机场; formerly named Shenzhen Huangtian Airport) (IATA: SZX, ICAO: ZGSZ) is located in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. It is 32 km northwest of the city center and the hub for Shenzhen Airlines, Shenzhen Donghai Airlines, SF Airlines, Jade Cargo International and a focus city for China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines. The airport also serves as an Asian-Pacific cargo hub for UPS Airlines. The airport is undergoing major expansion with a new terminal under construction. A second runway was also recently completed. It is one of the three largest airport hubs serving southern China, alongside Hong Kong International Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

The airport was opened on 12 October 1991. It occupies an area of 10.8 km². Its runway is 3400 m long and 45 m wide, and it has 53 parking spaces on its apron. The airport also has ferry routes to Hong Kong International Airport, where passengers can transit without going through immigration and custom checks, akin to transit between two flights. Its current terminal covers an area of 152,000 sq meters and consist of 24 jetways. Shenzhen airport handled 26,713,610 passengers in 2010, according to Civil Aviation Administration of China, making it the fifth busiest nationwide. The airport was also China's 4th busiest and world's 24th busiest airport in terms of cargo traffic, registering 809,363 tonnes of freight. In terms of traffic movements, Shenzhen airport was the 5th busiest airport in China in 2009.

Shenzhen Huangtian airport ?Not Shenzhen Baoan Airport ?So detailed Airport. The only thing that is not good for me is it's only for FSX and I am used FS9 for the most time.

I love glass texture on the main terminal. It looks like there are structures inside but it is an opaque, non-transparent texture, isn't it? Nice.
Satellite photo in Asia is not as good as in Europe or USA. It is still blurry but if you paint it or modify a bit like making texture from photo, it will be much better.

Thank you for moving to FSX, we really need some good quality airports. the default FSX is appalling around China. So many cool airports there, especially in Tibet and Sichuan. I hope you will port over your Tibet projects in time.

Excellent work.:wave:

@jtanabodee,

Yes, they are just normal textures on the buildings. We are testing on the SPEC map and will disclose some more pictures in the future:D

@EDDT-Sebi,

The new terminal building and the second runway are being considered to be built, but the satellite maps need to be updated first. Maybe we will release a patch in the future.

@newmanix,

Actually contacts have been made with AES staff before, we even sent them our re-grouped jetway parts to make animation. So we are still waiting for their replies.:wizard:

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much skysoftsimulation!

I've been dying to fly to proper airports in china, and I've been craving to go back, after 12 years of my life there.

You guys are to my knowledge the best Chinese company making them and wouldn't what any other representation of them then you. Thank you for switching to FSX there is definitely a need on that platform.

And please, do make more...
