I had installed a DC-6 aircraft from Cal Classics. The aircraft also required a Panel and Sound file for it to work, and so I installed it. I launched FSX and loaded the DC-6 aircraft and about a minute afterwards, the sound all of a sudden dropped to about half the normal level. Even when I first launch FSX and the music starts, the music level is much lower than normal and even clicking on each of the selections do not sound near as loud as they did. I removed the DC-6 and panel / sound files and that did not make any difference. I also deleted the FSX.cfg and let it generate a new one and that did not make any difference. The problem is not in my speakers nor with any of it's settings in the Sound Settings. I can launch P3D and the sound level is just fine and I can also play music or videos on youtube and they sound just fine. So as I said, the problem is not with my Sound Settings nor with the speakers. It's within FSX. I can also go to the sound folder in FSX and play the UI music and the sound level is just fine. It's when I launch the simulator and run it is when the sound level is too low. Does anyone know what the problem is, and help me get it back at the level it should be.
