• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Have been using TS for a while now and thought that I would test TS Pro. I installed the 0.09 version then the 0.14 update. Everything displays correctly with the default FSX TS Pro project, but when I try to Start/Contour I get this error message. Windows 10 (1709), P3d 4.2, FSUIPC 5.123e. FSX-SE and P3d V3 also installed. Full ORBX Global + a number of regions also installed.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Thanks for the report, Jay. I'm currently working with a couple of other users to debug TS Pro. This has not previously been reported, but will be fixed in the next release - likely later today.

Once I make the next release, please report any issues you discover, no matter how seemingly minor.

Thanks Don. The display capabilities are great. One other thing that I noticed is that there are a number of "Path to " statements in in INI file but besides the 3 sims, only the P3dv3 SDK has Path to entries. Is that by design?

Jay, please download TS Pro 0.0.17, now available at http://stuff4fs.com. Navigate to the Terrain Sculptor page and click the Development release menu item. T

The exception thrown on "Start ..." was due to a silly coding error I made yesterday. It's now fixed.

Re your last question, those empty "path to ..." statements indicate TS Pro is not "seeing" those versions.

Will do.
Here's a snippet of the beginning of the INI file after one run of 0.0.14>
Code:
Path to FSX=E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX
Path to P3Dv3=G:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3
Path to P3Dv4=G:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3d v4
Path to P3Dv3 SDK=G:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 SDK
Path to P3Dv3 Compiler=G:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 SDK\Environment SDK\BGL Compiler SDK\BglComp.exe
Path to P3Dv3 shp2vec=G:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 SDK\Environment SDK\shp2vec.exe
Path to shp2vec (Specified)=

P3D V4.2 has an SDK and it's in G:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 SDK on my machine.

As you probably know, I made Development Release 0.0.19 last evening. If you have not already installed it, please give it a try.

But, if you have installed it prior to the time stamp on this post, please download DR 0.0.19 again and overwrite "TS Pro.exe" in your TS Pro folder with the copy from the latest archive. (Last night's archive would have given you the same results as 0.0.14.)

The zip file is listed as 0.0.17, but I checked the exe and its definitely 0.0.19. I had some questions about the release from yesterday, but I'll wait on those to test the new release.

Updating the .exe version discovered by Windows is an extra step that, in the early stages of development, I don't really focus on. When I refer to a release ID for any of my apps, I'm referring to what appears in the title bar of the opening dialog. If the last release of TS Pro you used found the PV4 SDK, then it was the latest.

However, to avoid further confusion, I have updated the .exe version number and re-released as Development Release 0.0.18 at http://stuff4fs.com.

Please only report issues in that version.
