Hello MSFS Community,
I am embarking on an ambitious project to develop highly detailed and accurate scenery for Dar es Salaam Airport (HTDA) and its surrounding cityscapes for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This project aims to bring to life one of Africa’s vibrant but underrepresented airports, showcasing the rich culture and architectural beauty of Dar es Salaam.
Project Overview:
The project will be executed in phases, focusing initially on the airport’s terminals and layouts, with subsequent phases dedicated to the modeling of city skyscrapers and landmarks. Given the scope, we’re looking for passionate individuals with expertise in 3D modeling, airport layout design, and familiarity with Blender or similar software, who can help us achieve a high level of realism and detail.
We Are Looking For:
• Experienced 3D modelers, especially those with a background in creating airport environments or urban landscapes.
• Individuals with a good understanding of MSFS development tools and SDK.
• Creatives who have a keen eye for detail and a passion for bringing virtual environments to life.
• Team players who are open to collaboration and feedback.
How to Apply:
If you have the skills and are excited about contributing to this project, please respond to this forum post with:
• A brief introduction of yourself and your relevant experience.
• Photos or links to your previous work, specifically highlighting any projects related to MSFS, airport modeling, or large-scale 3D environments.
• Your contact information or preferred method of communication.
Why Join Us?
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a project that not only enhances the MSFS experience but also celebrates African aviation by introducing one of its key airports to the global flight simulation community. Your work will help fill a significant gap in the simulation’s representation of African airports and contribute to a more inclusive and diverse virtual aviation world.
We understand the importance of this project and are committed to ensuring it’s a rewarding experience for all involved, with ample room for creativity and innovation.
Thank you for considering being a part of this exciting journey. We look forward to seeing your work and potentially welcoming you to our team.
Best regards,
Rix
