• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSXA Trabzon Airport

I would like to present some screenshots from my Trabzon Airport scenery beta. Trabzon is the largest airport in the Black Sea region of Turkey.
This is my third scenery modeling study with FSDS (and FSDSxTweak). This time I also implemented LOD and so was able to introduce more details.
I am still learning :)

Looking good!
Some constructive criticism if I may: The cones seem to have scale issue (too large) and you can compile xml (i.e. default trees) with a NoShadow tag to simultaneously get rid of the blocky shadows and increase performance

Thank you.

A month ago I was a week away from completion, but life intervened and also I had to format my computers... Now I am about to restart again, so lets say it can be out in a month :)

Wow, this is very good and detailed scenery.
I was wondering how you make the slope contour of the hill facing the sea. Is that the part of ground poly or it is mesh and photoscenery?

@jtanabodee; it is done with ground polys (flatten and slopes, SbuilderX) and photoscenery.

Thank you. Yes I finally got to wrap it up :).
I tried to make something extraordinary, but it is very time consuming doing all by oneself. Although I improved my technique, especially LOD making, it is a little bit discouraging to see the length of the process to have a detailed and specially modeled scenery. At the beginning it was a week of work doing a scenery package using Instant Scenery and default objects :).
For whoever is interested, here is the Avsim link.
