• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX Traffic and Parking Analyzer new functionality request

Hi folks!

First a huge THANK YOU for the developers of this wonderful programm. I use it daily and helps me a lot
while builidng AFCADS and installing AI-traffic files.

In the option of the traffic and parking analyzer i would love if in future versions we can:

1. on the list "aircraft visiting selected airport" ability to sort the airplanes by their radius. Like this we can
quickly see what kind of radiusses are needed for that airport.

2. if the Traffic and Parking analyzer doesnt find any aircraft without parking, parking code or parking on other parking code, that means ALL aircraft can be parked on their assigned spots, a message that it is so and everything is ok. At the moment there is no message at all, and as I am used that there is message because one parking is missing, i always expect a message (even if in a case everything is ok).

I thank in advance if my inputs could be implemented in future versions

Thanks for the suggestions, Alex.
  1. Sort by radius - Generally, parking at airports is not provisioned based solely on a specific aircraft radius or the aircraft in a specific traffic file. So, I suspect such a capability would not be as useful as you seem to think. Nonetheless, your suggestion does prompt me to consider an optional sort-by-column-heading mechanism on list outputs that have multiple columns. This would give you the capability you ask for but would have a wider range of potential uses. Stay tuned!
  2. Confirmation messages - the top three items in the Traffic Analyser Aircraft Menu already provide confirmation when there is a null result. As for Analyse Parking, I will add a "null-confirmation" message as you suggest.

Alex, when someone comes up with a good idea, I try to implement it ASAP.

Development Release 3.1.05(d), now available at http://stuff4fs.com (navigate to Applications / AIFP and click the Development Release menu item), allows users to resequence any list in "listview" (i.e., multi-column) format by clicking on the header of the column which is to control the resequencing - including the list you asked to have resequenced.

The development release also provides the "null result" message you noted was missing.

Hi Don
Thank you for your quick answer!
Yes, that what I actually meant the possibility of clicking of the header of the column to sort out ascending or descending the radiusses. Maybe I explained my problem in a poor English..sorry...smile.
So I will look forward for the improvements!
Again thank you for this outstanding program AIFP, which you keep tuned and updated as well. I use it daily for flightplans and AFCAD analyzing.

Kind regards

Alex, the improvements are already available - in the noted Development Release. Install that development release and you have them.
