• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Working on a comprehensive AI pack that provides each and every hull number for each surface unit on duty.

Finally got the Harry Truman CVN-75 converted yesterday.

Still adjusting tweaking, etc. Right now they all have hard platforms for landing as you will see but still not there in terms of attachpoints, additional LODs, etc. So it is WIP.

Here are a couple shots of the USS Mason (DDG-87), which is a Flight IIA Arleigh Burke class DDG. I will post some shots from one of the Flight I ships for comparison.

Here is a good side by side comparison -- DDG51 Arleigh Burke is the Flight I variant on the right.

Please note that these are just test sites for WIP evaluation and checking.

I do plan to provide AI traffic tracks for all units (actually multiple) so you can see them coming to and from their home ports and patrolling their op areas.

USS Anzio (CG-68) here, port and starboard shots.

That is the USS Green Bay LPD-20 in the background. I had placed it as a static using SODE, just experimenting.

is there any wasp LHD or LHA-6 of america, I need to land my MV-22B on Shipboard. ;)

Looks good but the textures look a bit fuzzy.
What models did you use?
Here is a screenshot in MCX from the DDG62- USS Fitzgerald a couple of years ago (in the absence of recent ones because they are sailing somewhere but I am not sure where to find them -AIBTC, you know-) when I did not yet know how to improve the textures.

The one in the back of the Anzio intrigues me!

Need to balance the textures with FPS performance. Plus the screenshots are not the best. I will need to get a talented screenie wizard to 'get onboard' with me on this project as we get closer to having a finished offering.

Purchased the models (or rather the liscensing). This is will be payware.

A couple of the ships were not available, so I had to commission as special orders with the modeller -- you'll see those here in a bit.

USS America LHA-6

Empty deck configuration, followed by various other deck parking confugations:

Haven't decided how many configurations to include, but it will be a half dozen or more, certainly. We'll see.

Oh I'd love to make some screenshots! I have a lot of US Navy aircraft in my hangar, so adding the whole US fleet would be amazing!

Btw, are there any plans to make it compatible with AIcarriers?

Yes I was looking at your body of work on your site, very cool. Perhaps we could work something out when I get closer. I still got a LOT of work ahead of me.

Sure. Pretty easy. And it will be compatible with VRS TacPack. In fact that is how I am placing them in most of the above shots (the shot of all 4 ships was a regular AI traffic .bgl file -- again just testing).

Only about AI carriers and all the rest is I won't try to provide any kind of installer. Primary reason is everybody has different AI ships and everybody will have a different AI carrier file (there are other reasons also). So making this compatible in this context really means that it will be simple additional 'cut & paste' content that I will post on a website, with instructions.

LSD-41 Whidbey Island

LSD-49 Harpers Ferry

I noticed that my wake is a little off-kilter on LSD-49. Looks like I have the model shifted a bit to port. Easy enough to fix in MCX.

Amazing work Ripcord ! I was starting a Ticonderoga class cruiser but I'll stop because yours is just magnificient ! I guess it's not yet available. Keep up the good work !

That sounds great I'm looking forward to it! Send me a PM when you need something!

I like the sound of TacPack, I recently got hold of it and it makes FSX so much more fun! Especially with some friends. It would make a great addition to this addonpack imo

If you use FSX you have to have at least some knowledge on how a pc works. So if you make clear instructions for the not so knowledgeable folks under us, it will all work out beautifully.
