FS2004 and earlier version had 5 so called user variables. These variables could be filled by the user with a value of choice. For example from a gauge or external program. The GMax gamepack also used these variables for the animation interpolation.
Is there a tutorial for these user variables? For example I want to board a ranger on a helicopter. I swict to given NAV frequency and the ranger desappear, this is easy to do. But I want also to add an other condition : "when the turbine is on idle". Is it possible? And how?
I don't think the turbine variable can be accessed by the scenery directly. So you would need a special guage or DLL to do that kind of things. That gauge or DLL would then fill the user variable with a certain value and in the scenery you check that value.
