FSXA Using flyable aircraft sounds for AI

I've recently been converting sound folders to aisound folders within AI aircraft, with mixed results. At face value, it sounds as if some external sounds - you can hear just fine, others seem to drop in and out, and some just aren't played at all (or ar so quiet they can't be heard). I've taken a first look at the SDK documentation. One thing I've noticed is some of the sounds don't have sound cone entries.
I'm trying to figure out if the symptom of dropped or quiet sounds might be associated with the lack of sound cone entries, or if there are other issues to look at when using the approach of using flyable a/c sounds on an AI aircraft (i.e., are the external sound triggers tied to the A/C model some how, or woshould we expect that all external sounds should somehow be triggered in any A/C?):confused:
