• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi folks,

I am happy to announce the next project which is progressing pretty well at the moment. I decided to focus on a nice place for all those flying VFR, business jets as well as airliners and helicopters...
Next destination: Sylt/ Westerland!

The island is located far north in Germany sourrounded by the North Sea (which will result in challenging approaches in fall and winter due to the strong winds). As it is well known for its luxurious places it is a hot spot for executive aviation with jets and props of all sizes but also a nice place to take your Cessna for a flight. With some offshore wind farms nearby it is also a great place for helicopter flights ;-)

Here are first images of the airport:

There is still a lot of work to do, but it should be much quicker than my previous Hurghada project ;-)

Very good news and very much appreciated. But will this scenery be build only for MSFS2020 or will there be a version for Prepar3Dv4.5/v5 too?

That looks like just short of the finishing line.... Any approximate release date for MSFS2020 yet?

Really looking forward to this scenery. Will you concentrate on the airport or will you also add landmarks like the church of Keitum, the 5 lighthouses of the island, the appartment house at Westerland seafront etc.? As I know the island very well since 40 years I'm happy to assist if needed.

Hi, I made the flightsim.to version but man your's looks really great. The moment you publish your's I'll remove mine. Regards Guido

Obviously not...sad, looked very promising.
LOL. It still does look promising. Jetman has delivered on every airport that he has previewed, so I don't know why you would be so negative. It takes longer than a month or two to develop an airport you know.

Relax. I just wondered why there isn't any further update on progress or screenshots as most developers handles it. Didn't know that such an utterance is already deemed as an offence. So please accept my apologies. ;)

Hello all,

just to calm minds:
Sylt is still on the list and in development. (Unfortunately) an ultra-busy real world aviation summer kept me more the less away from development.
Now GSE and static aircraft are done, the entire airport has dynamic ligthing, the surroundings are almost done...work is now progressing again and hopefully development will be on final soon!

here are some new screenshots ;)

The project is still ongoing...

The airport itself is now completely done including SODE controlled wet surfaces.
At the moment work is concentrated on some of the surroundings (industrial Area "Gewerbegebiet Tinnum", the lighthouses of the island, windfarm Butendiek and the Hindenburg-Damm with the well known car train connecting Sylt with the mainland).

But here are some current screenshots:
