• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

FS2004 What airport scenery files are loaded?

Hello folks.

I need to update certain aspects of my scenery for ENLI Lista airfield.

Addon scenery comes from a download of "Norap09" which covers most of the airfields in Norway and contains a host of files.

I've loaded the files that obviously relate to ENLI into ADE9 but some of the detail I wish to amend does not show up.

Obviously, there is a least one other relevant scenery file that I need to load but which one(s)?

Can anyone please tell me how to identify which scenery files are loaded into FS9 at any particular airport location?

Regards to all,

Stuart.

Use the File Priority Analyzer which is in version 1.70. Or if you use 1.71 Beta then there is a function in the analyzer which tries to mimic how FS displays the files it is presented with for a specific location.

Thanks for a very speedy reply Jon.

File Priority Analyzer sounds like what I need but how do I access it.

The Internet tells me it is part of ADE so when you say version 1.70 are you refering to ADE?

Mine is at v1.67 which tells me the Version Update Status is Up to Date.

I'm a little confused here.

OK. I have covered in previous posts that ADE minor version updates are delivered via the online updater, but major ones are new full installations. It has been pointed out that we don't have a good mechanism to tell users when a new major version is available. I need to do something about that. In the meantime you can get version 1.70 from our website www.scruffyduck .org.uk. Version 1.70 has the file priority Analyser.

BTW, if you happen to use Instant Scenery it has a neat feature that displays captions for every library object at an airport, giving you the source file of that object along with the name of the placement file.
