• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

What software do you use to edit and create your own endless textures?

I have a photo that I tried to adapt using paint.net or Gimp. I used the endless edge filter with Gimp, but in materialize it looks like this:

komplettmaterial_live_ansicht_alle_maps_uerlappend_kacheln_sichtbar_variant_2_rotation~3.png

the dark points (marked in red) are not visible in the raw material, I only see them when I produce the textures 4x on the plans in materialize.

How or which software can I use to adjust this so that everything has the same color? The software should not only be available as a subscription and should not be infinitely expensive. I think €100 is a lot, preferably significantly less.

Thanks for the answer, but that doesn't help me. My problem is different, see video:

The question is whether the method or another in Blender (also with an addon) is MSFS compatible? I'm changing the texture node with it.

(I googled this, but in German and got absolutely no results until I came across the term random)

Zip your texture and attach it. Then others can play with it and see what we can come up with. Also, how big an area are you covering?

sorry for the late reply, somehow I overslept it, haven't been busy with it for a long time.

I'm happy to upload the file.
