Hello,
I just want to start out with the fact that I am not asking the exact same question that's already been asked at all major forums. I have a problem that occurs in flight after about 20-30 minutes, which is that the sim crashes due to g3d.dll. I have done the step by step removal process and identified exactly what bgl is causing the crash. It's a bgl containing object placement information and was compiled with the help of ADE 1.65. Basically it's a _OBJ.bgl file.
Without it the sim runs just fine, but when it's active the sim crashes. Now I would like to hear some common mistakes that would cause such a bgl to make g3d.dll crash.
It's not that a library object or texture is missing. I ruled that out with the following settings in fsx.cfg:
MissingLibraryAlert=1
ShowMissingTextureAlert=1
It is quite time consuming to do the trial and error approach as it takes 20-30 minutes for the sim to crash which is why I want to understand the error rather than just solving it. How else could I avoid the error in the future?
I also want to point out that all the objects appear just fine in the sim itself, no strange behaviour or anything.
Best regards
Johan
