• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

"You would do a script that requests screenshots of the program window like 4 times per seconds by web requests. This is the way Littlenavmap in game panel and Kinetic assistant panel work. I don't think XCSoar has such a feature (get program window picture by HTTP request) but it's opensource and I think you can easily mod it that way".............. This was the response I got from the kinetic assistant developer. I have almost no experience with coding, but is it possible to do what he's suggesting with xcsoar. With the upcoming glider update we have already seen more and more people joining our weekly group flights and I would love to make this more accessible to more people. The main reason for this request/ question is bringing xcsoar into vr can be a pain depending on the headset. If I can request the program window thru http then I can make a button for the toolbar in game that will open a window that shows your xcsoar window. For control we use an autohotkey script that attaches the arrow keys to zoom and change page. Any help is greatly appreciated as I have not even the slightest idea how to do any of this.

Here's a video with xcsoar in use with our group flight.

That is something I am searching for, now that gliders have arrive into MSFS. A toolbar app that shows XCSOAR inside MSFS for VR flying.

Unless you can find a dev that will make the addon for you it doesn't exist. I currently use the Oculus quest 2 and just bring a window into vr and pin it but some users have issues trying to do this with other headsets. If you get anywhere please post here and I'll share it with everyone on discord
