Can someone please tell me how to add addon aircraft to ADEX....
I have tried and tried to get ADEX to reconize new static aircraft i have downloaded from the web. But it dont show any new planes....
Please what am i missing or doing wrong.....
I add the plane to FSX addon scenery and texture as directed, but ADEX wont upload them for use....:banghead:

Hi,

Supposing you have made the static aircraft a library object and put it in a folder activated in the scenery library list of FSX, you have to open ADE, go to the Library Object manager, click on add (upper left corner), find your object, save and close. You then go to your airport, put the cursor on the spot where you want your static aircraft, right click>library object and find your static object>add, save your airport and compile.

Thx.Roby.....
I will give it a try....
This is like anything thats new....Discovering what you can and cannot do in it....
I have a personal built airport, plus one i am working on....They both need the eye candy in them....

Static aircraft using SAMM2 and ADEX9

Similar problem as trucker17. Static ac made with SAMM2 and folder placed in FSX library. Object was then placed in ADEX9 Object Manager Library without any difficulty. Even got the thumbnail. Added the object in my ADEX9 airport, saved and compiled. No show in FSX. Complexity set to Normal. I did this another six times with other aircraft. I was curious if I could even import static aircraft objects into ADEX9 so I download some static aircraft for FSX from www.kb-sim.com. They all show in FSX. So I must be doing something wrong with SAMM2. Anyone have any comments?

Did you copy the texture folder created by SAMM2 to the texture folder associated with the scenery folder containing the model library?

Yes. I did exactly that.
I do the same with static aircraft by others and it works.
I can't get Samm2 to work for me.

Thanks, Tom, for directing me to that thread.
The library bgl and text file enables the object to be seen in FSX?
Or maybe the guild number in the text file? I missed this piece of information in the manual pdf.
Also thanks to Bob Macklin.
It's great to have Professional help available.
