• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

Hi Arno and first I want to thank you for all your great tool fo FS developer !

I would to present you what it was a simply guy at start for AGN2txt & txt2AGN It was made to help merging between AGN Tiles from scenproc and AGN Tiles from AgenT or Autotree... since I've added some function more.

my tool name is AGN Merge Tool. It's still in developement and at that time only in french :eek: (now I think you've understand why :D ... sorry for my english).

For people who could be not comfy enough with french language, here is the link for direct DL

just quick instruction:
- unzip it in the same directory of txt2agn & agn&txt (from scenproc old version)
- copy agndump.exe from SDK in the same directory.
- copy "AutogenDescriptions.xml" , "RoofDescriptions.xml" and "Extrusions.xml" » in the directory named "Autogenxml".
- Never use "space" in Directory name (ex: "AGN_from_Chicago" and not "AGN from Chicago") !!

After that you just need to copy yours AGN's directory in the "Groupe_Dalles" directory and launch the AGN_Merge_Tool.exe.
- the final AGN files after "conversion" are in "Convert" Directory.
- the final AGN files after "Merging" (="mixage" in french) are in "Merge" Directory.

for example with convert option: you can exclude any type of poly from an AGN (create an only vegetation AGN files from full AGN file for example).

I will try to translate the program soon...
 
I've just add compatibility with last version of Arno Tools... so now you can choose "FSX" or "FS9" out AGN file format.

Wow, this is very useful indeed. Until now I was trying to merge files with c+p manually, but you can never really win with that...

note for Horst, you can use "AGN Merge Tool" like a batch for AGN2txt & txt2AGN. just use "conversion & optimisation" mode with defaut options checked and all the files you need to get txt file checked. Copy your AGN into "Groupes Dalles/your_folder" and run "Conversion"... you'll have your .txt files into "work/Groupes_Dalles/your_folder"... :)
 
Horst: Oups :eek: I forget to give you an important info -> the conversion of my tools don't like FS9 veget or "null" Guid so it add a FSX Guid to it (defaut GUID can be setup in "Guid tabpage")...

few bug corrected & add:
- support of Tile's tga files named "xxxxxxxSu.tga" from FsEarthTiles. (put the tga files into "tga" directory. in a separate dir or not...)
- "geographical" navigation between Tile's files (like in AgenT):
for exemple: pav num. 8 -> go to the next north tile, pav num 6 -> go to the next East Tile.

the new version with a quick english translation:

you can edit the English.lng into "work" folder file to create other country location or made a better translation ;) , save it into work folder, rename it (german.lng for example). it must be only one *.lng file into work folder.

No, at that time it's manual... you must add your language file (*.lng) into "work" folder. Just rename "English.lng" into "german.lng" for example, edit it and translate word.

! Be carrefull to not add line break (it's better to use an advanced editor like notepad++ for example).
 
Hi,

new version with:
- speed-up "optimize building" option
- added option to choose if the smaller or bigger building is keeped.

Infos:
I've updated the "optimize building" algorythme => speed-up now. This option delete GenBuilding which cross-over another one... you can choose the croos-over area tolerated with the trackbar and if you want to keep the smaller or the bigger GenBuilding.

after each change you must clic "preview" button to show the result.

sorry, still get the file not found error. The tool looks in the "Merge" folder for a *.agn file, but the folder is empty.
