• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi there!

I've been working on my latest version of my sky set, version 3. My first version was very nice, but there was still some things about it that i wanted to adjust.

This version is in some ways samiliar to the previous one, but i've reworked all textures in some way and this time the sky colors at dawn and dusk will be just a little less "dramatic", but it still have great colors.
In version 1, i found the morning/daytime/afternoon shadows to blue-ish, which is now adjused. I also took a closer look at the haze color, my oppinion is that it seems to be way to gray-ish than it appears in real life ("Why are mountains blue in a distance?"), so i've adjusted that aswell.

Still working on it, here are some screens taken today:

Old images removed!

So thats it for now, i hope you like it so far. Let me know if you got any suggestions or wold like a more specific screen at a certain weather, altitude, time etc.

Should work with both FSX and P3D.

Regards,
Navid Hashemi

Your screen shots are beatiful, but I am confused about how to use your contribution. Beyond sky color, does your add-on affect cloud shape and color ?

Thanks,
Chas

Chas,

No, it only changes the sky textures/sky colors. The only affect the clouds lightning and shadows, not the shape or the clouds textures.

Howdy!

Today i'm releasing V3 with update 2:

Updates included:
-Predawn and postsunset colors adjusted.
-Dawn/sunset lightning and shadows.
-Slightly darker sky at high altitudes.
-Noon less green-ish horizon

It's pretty much the original v3, only that i've adjusted some small things that bugged me, listed above. Also some new fresh pics on the download page.
More updates will probably come in the future. Let me know if you guys find something that should be adjusted for the next update! :)

Happy flying!
