• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

While the modeling looks quite well done my opinion regarding renders remains the same. Until I see it in-sim it does not exist.

Great rendering. Any Plans for a Legacy? My start up Virtual Airline may put in orders for a Legacy if one is planned. Keep it up!

Yay!:)

You don't know how excited I am to see you building the ERJ-145. I started work on one of these a few months ago, but have not made much progress. I'm thinking of shutting down the project.

It might just be me but I feel that there hasn't been enough work on small regional aircraft then large planes. I fly on a virtual airline where 50% of my flights are with the E145. I would love to have one of these in my sim.

I will be watching this project closely.

Nope! There's many others that feel the same way! The reality of air travel is that without aircraft like the Erj and Crj and Dash, there wouldn't be air travel. 95% of people's itineraries start with a line station airport, which get a non-stop service from a hub with these aircraft. Without them, air travel wouldn't exist.

We hope to keep you up to date with the latest info as it arises!

Oh, and there may just be a legacy series coming with it - afterall, it only makes sense!

That did come across as a little harsher than I meant it to be. The model looks very good, and I do hope that we see it in the sim soon. I learned a long time ago to export into the sim early and often as it allows you to catch problems while they are small and easily fixed.

I agree, compiling it into the sim at an early stage will provide you with a lot of information on what needs to be corrected on the model providing you dump to a build log.

Hi Folks,

Nice start and I'd be in for a model if done well... I don't have much interest in long haul planes - regional flights are all I have time for and all I normally do when messing with commercial airliners... I am anxiously awaiting the DA CRJ - which from my experience with DA - should be utterly amazing - they finally seem close... I always liked the ERJ's as they just have sexier lines... While a bit ahead of the game - I'd try reaching out to the guys from McPhat - as their texture work on the FT ERJ was superb and really sealed the deal... Best of luck...

Regards,
Scott

Sorry for the delay in reply, yes the latest news is the aircraft has been successfully ported into FSX as a test! It will be UVW mapped, and the animations will be tweaked and added to make it on-point!

I truly hate mapping textures - my least favorite part of modeling...

;)

Best of luck...

Scott

Looking great! Keep up the great work! It's a long way to the finish line but the support here keeps everyone going forward.

I second that about mapping textures. Truly the most painful, most repeated, most irritating part. Especially when you need to tweak the model after unwrapping and the uvw map all goes to hell again.
