• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

As my all old files for SU39 are corrupted I decide to start new project of SU34. Here is my early stage of High poly body UV unwrapped. Constructive critics much appreciated

Nice model for a nice plane!

But at the top of the wing and the lower side, the UV-unwrapping seems a bit strange. The black boxes seem to wave.

Keep it going, I really like Russian planes;)

You're right. It's happen when applying turbosmooth. Prior it everything is normal, as you can see.

Don't be too fast with that!
I had a similar problem. Turns out all I had to do was unregister a single DLL some stupid program put on my computer (I should have known better).

Thanks, but I already did it. I have a new instalation now with a lot of free space in my HD

Started front gear...And here come the delema.....how many polygons to allow for it. My previous experiance with SU39 gear was bad...too many polygons, too much detail. have to think about it tonight.
Here are arnd 4000

There is something strange in the nose, you have modeled a flat nose cone where pitot probe is attached, but in reality the nose is very sharp not flat, and you barely see where nose cone ends and probe starts.

Nice modelling, but I'm sure you can achieve the same result with far less poly's. I guess bevels (like in the rim) won't be noticed in FSX, for example.

Thanks guys,
nose is corrected.
