FSX GS Lock light (2d Gauge)

Matt, the 1greenoff light should be dark at the start of the scenario and then go bright when all the circuits and battery are on. If it does go bright then it means that the Visible condition is working fine. Just a way of eliminating problems...

Does the 1greenoff light go bright at any stage?

That NAV HAS GLIDE SLOPE statement looks fine to me :-)

FSX GS Lock light (2d Gauge)

Or you could use: <Visible>(A:CIRCUIT GENERAL PANEL ON, bool) (A:CIRCUIT AVIONICS ON, bool) (A:ELECTRICAL MASTER BATTERY, bool) > > </Visible>

FSX GS Lock light (2d Gauge)

Hi I have never seen "&&&" being used. I would have put just "and and" as in <Visible>(A:CIRCUIT GENERAL PANEL ON, bool) (A:CIRCUIT AVIONICS ON, bool) (A:ELECTRICAL MASTER BATTERY, bool) and and </Visible>

FSX Virtual to 2d Gauge help

I have not seen an event that toggles an LVar in that way. I only use 2D gauges. I would have had to use (L:GAUGE_ANUM_TEST, bool) ! (>L:GAUGE_ANUM_TEST, bool)

    Simulators and their bootup times

50 secs to load FS9 up to the Flight Selection Menu - 5 secs then to load my test flight. It used to take well over 5 minutes overall. I used to have as many sceneries loaded as I could find, and as many AI Flight Plans as possible. So, since I only ever fly around Ireland, I removed all AI...

    XML Gauge Sound Assistance

The is the XML method of changing the value in a variable - in this case it is overwriting whatever value was in L:HYD_PUMP_IS_ON with the value of 1. It is used later on in the script you showed above. Sometimes you can see it written as: 1 (>L:HYD_PUMP_IS_ON,number), so your second attempt...

FS2004 Breaking FS9's Grip on XML Gauges

Even more confusing... Another Windows update. Now some of my gauges are allowed to be updated with the Reload while others are not. Sometimes I have to get out and go back in - other times I can update. Mysterious.

FS2004 Breaking FS9's Grip on XML Gauges

Interesting note, DragonflightDesign! I installed KB4457128 on 14th September. Due to my disk crash I have not been in a situation to carry out edits recently. Perhaps the problem has existed quietly since then and I am only copping on to it now. I hope someone comes up with a solution, and...

FS2004 Breaking FS9's Grip on XML Gauges

Hi TGibson, yes, I rebooted the PC a few times yesterday and it was off overnight. Same situation today. The files save perfectly when FS2004 is not running, so currently I am back to pre 2013 procedures - run FS2004, see what must be done, close FS2004, carry out whatever work has to be done...

FS2004 Breaking FS9's Grip on XML Gauges

Hi, since March 2013 I have been happily and successfully using this RELOAD_PANELS facility. Today however - it stopped working! I use Textpad to edit my gauges and this has worked since 2013. Wordpad won't save a changed gauge .xml file while FS2004 is open either - so it looks like it is the...

    FS2004 Flightplan utility [Solved]

Hi Bobbyjack, it caught me napping too. The first was an old-ish 500Gb Seagate Barracuda HDD which I was using externally with a USB cable. Because of its age and the way it was carried from room to room and attached at odd intervals, I forgave it! The second was my only HDD in the computer - a...
