• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Blender animations with bones problem with FSX

I think I know what you are talking about now. Yes, you can have one animation follow that animation of another without having them linked. Yes you can. All you have to do is to make sure that you make key frames for each bone for each object. Then it will work just like you had them linked. Is...

Blender animations with bones problem with FSX

If I am understanding what you are asking. Yes you can animate an object without using bones. You just need to animate the object attach an animation tag to the object, make sure the object has a material. And it should work.

Blender animations with bones problem with FSX

OK, I also looked at your bones to see if you have animation tags for them. I do not see any animation tags for you bones in the FSX attributes. So this must not be your Blender file that you are testing with because you should have no animations working in FSX at all. If you use bones you...

Blender animations with bones problem with FSX

I also found that one of your objects does not have the correct scale. The scale should be 1.0 . And your object has a scale of 0.182 (See image below)

Blender animations with bones problem with FSX

Hi Gastonj! Going by your Blender test file as you can see below marked in red. You have not attached an animation tag to your objects. Without this animation tag FSX or P3D will not know what to do with your animation. Thanks, Kris

Lets say I want to learn to make a very simple App for Windows...

Hi Mr. Bill! If you are just looking for a simple way to make a program to run on all platforms. The easy-est language to learn in my opinion would be JavaScript. JavaScript is easy to learn scripting language that runs in HTML. Because it runs in HTML you do not have to worry about platform...

News - Blender Internal Render removed from version 2.8

Hi Ronald! If Blender's internal render engine is not used when the Blender2FSX/P3D export script is executed, then you will get an error and no export .x, .xanim, or .mdl file will be made. The reason for this is because of the differences in the way that Blender Internal Render, EVEE, and...

How do I make a detailed building texture?

Hi 2sheelsup! When exporting your project to make the .mdl file you need to use Blenders internal render engine. But you can use Blenders cycles engine to make your textures. You are not limited on the program that you can or can not use to make your textures. You just need to remember to...

    Blender2FSX/P3D (v0.9.5 onwards)

Hi Raphael67600! When you get an error like that. That is basically telling you that you need to take a closer look at your Blender file. Because you have an error with your mesh that xToMDL.exe has found. Here are some of the things to look for that might be wrong with your Blender file. 1...

Lessons on development of 64-bit C/C++ applications (conversion from 32-bits into 64-bits)

Hi Ronald! I would not worry about writing code for 32bit or 64bit so much, unless you are writing in a language like Assembly. Assembly you deal directly with the CPU's registers and there for have to take into account if your system is 32bit or 64bit. But most of the languages used for...

    Website stability

Hi Arno! I live in the United States, and I use Fire Fox as my web browser. When I try loading FsDeveloper, the hosting server times-out. The server is having an issue with the TLS handshake. I have also tested loading your site with Internet Explorer. It has the same problem with the TLS...
