• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    Repeating Sounds like Flaps

Hello there! Since a long time I have a very important question: how can I make a wave file self which behaves like the standard-FS flap or gyro sound: ONE wave-file which includes one part start running, one part looping and one part end running and the FS knows where which part in the wave...

    Error message in compilig.

I know it from SCC, that you can adjust the buffer size for the whole scm-file... But that's with the 32K-Jump is also an interesting aspect...

That's not correct! Of course, if he will make the API smaller, then it will work, but he can also change the Buffer-Size parameter to make the compilation possible... but I don't know how to do this with FSSC...

Nice screenshot! And what will he do then with the garbage when he is on the sea? :D

Is FSSC = Schiratti Control Center ?   (If NOT, I don't know the program.)

I'm not sure if you mean Schiratti Control Center with FSSC... But THERE you have the parameter "Buffer size" (or something like that) in the "Design Properties... or Preferences?". Size value is usually equal to a 2^x value (2, 4, 8, 16, 32...), I believe it is usually 16000. So just test...

I think, that's not the problem, but: Every file which will compiled by SCASM has a buffer size; try to change it to a greater value, like 32000 instead of 16000 and so on...

    How to make dll's

Yes, your tool is a very interesting direction of scenery design... Even if I personally have no use with these variables; although the day of week variable could be very interesting for me; but only for gimmicks like: the café has not opened on sunday :D

How to Solve Flickering (vertical, not ground poly)

I know this problem, too. Just don't delete the entire name via "select all & delete"; first type the "zbias_" before the actual name. Then you delete the old name but leave the "zbias_" and finally type your name after the "zbias_". And sometimes it helps if you save your gmax file before...

    How to make dll's

I've tested his small program a bit :D :D After I've saved the editings, the file eddwbase.bgl was brand new... ;) So it seems that you'll be right, arno, it seems that he "hardcodes" all changes and I believe, there is something like a "for"-loop in his dynamic scenery which opens...

Why tweaking code for gmax ground polys?

That's of course right, but I think, the new MS-methods like VTP and XML will NEVER be satisfying, therefore they are too bad. 2. Question: the only way making a scenery object by FS2002 gamepack is making a bgl-file (or compile a tweaked asm-file to a bgl-file) with "hard-coded" coordinates...

    How to make dll's

I've downloaded his scenery, but I found any dll, too, so I also believe that he just uses bgl's; Interesting is how he made the trucks coming to your aircraft; with many tiny check areas and many different paths for each possible position you could park?? But then he needs thousand of...

    How to make dll's

EXACTLY that I meant! Does anybody know how he made his EDDW-scenery? :scratchch :scratchch :scratchch :scratchch :scratchch :scratchch :scratchch (I mean the dynamic objects, of course...)

Why tweaking code for gmax ground polys?

I tested it and there was the following strange effect: If I HAVE ground shadows (in FS), then it is like you've said. But if I DON'T HAVE ground shadows, THEN the aircraft casts shadows on the object... But on the other side, I will agree, the tweaking method is more elegant; but: am I...
