• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    FSX Flaps, slats and AoA

Unfortunately not. It's a payware with unrealistic FD :censored:. I've got real manuals and step by step I'm rebuilting the FD, for my personal use, not for sharing. It's a pity because your suggestion seems good, besides I'm quite familiar with xml gauges. pcmeneg

    FSX Flaps, slats and AoA

I know, but I couldn't set the slats' lift scalar to zero, because I need a stall speed reduction. In the case of the DC-9-30, that I'm modelling, I should obtain: At 92500 lbs the stall speeds are: 140 (clean), 115 (slats), 98 (slats+full_flaps) We can see that the stall speed reduction, is...

    FSX Flaps, slats and AoA

Thank you! It's a pity, a real plane mantains more or less the same pitch with only slats extended. On FSX the nose goes down due to lift increased for equal AoA, like flaps do. Anyway for right nose attitude during approach, I used to modify the angle of max. CL (X axis) in the table 404 What's...

    FSX Flaps, slats and AoA

Hi there is a big difference between slats and flaps, both reduce the stall speed, but the effects on the flight behavior are very different: Slats extend the maximum angle of attack but not icrease lift for a given AoA, otherwise flaps increase the lift for a given AoA. I suspect that air...

FSX Part of mouse rectangles doesn't work

Hi friends, I'm rebuilding a FS9 project into true FSX with Gmax. I've almost finished this hard work, but in the V.C. some mouse rectangles doesn't work :banghead: for example: light switch, magnetos. All animations switches/levers work properly but part of these aren't clickable. Note that...
