• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    Tool for colouring BW pictures

Yes, The one I downloaded works allright even if it is a beta version. However there is no manual provided so you have to test for yourself, but this is not too difficult :) Unpack the exe into a new folder: C:\gray2color Run the exe. Left screen - load summer color jpg or bmp...

    Tool for colouring BW pictures

Have tested a bit, In 1 hour I made a database that is 61% complete. This was made from an own large 4.8 m/pixel photoscenery where I converted 150 bitmaps to color jpg in a separate folder. Then renamed all with "numbers" 1-150.jpg (easier to handle) in Total Commander (which has a nice...

    Tool for colouring BW pictures

Looks indeed as an interesting approach :) and most welcome as we sometimes only can get b/w aerial pics. Seasons would in my opinion not really be needed since they are rather easy to make with good results from a color (summer) pic in Photoshop. I have not yet installed the proggy, but...

    Where to start with Photoscenery

Hi, I have had a look at the Israeli site :D Actually making photoscenery with PSM is a very easy task. You must have a suitable bmp at or above 4.8 m/pixel resolution. If you "borrow" the pics from e.g. Google Earth they will be correct for this task, but you cannot publish them as...

FSDS - scenery lights and pre-process problems

Yes - the lib does not show up in the list. Yes - it is in an active scenery folder. Very strange and I suppose I must have done something wrong so I will recheck again as you confirm that EZ Scenery indeed would "see" the lib. Bjorn

FSDS - scenery lights and pre-process problems

I tried Rhumbas nav_light asm code and it compiles a MDL in BGLC_9, then I put the mdl file into a EZ-Scenery library, seemingly without any errors, but the library does not show up in EZ Scenery. Is it maybe so that EZ Scenery cannot read BGLC_9 compiled librarys ?? Best, Bjorn

FSDS - scenery lights and pre-process problems

Jim, Your light indeed works. I have in vain tried to do as you said, but no luck - I only get a nightlighted poly  When looking at my mdl compared to yours in UltraEdit I can see that yours is way smaller and contains the following text: FS80....ISFT....BGLC_9.BBOX..... while...

Googler Earth as a photoreal source

Stitchmaps only provide the means of stitching the maps together. You are still required to obtain a licence from Google or any other source which is almost impossible. Google prohibits the spreading of their imagery to a third party in whatever form, this legally means that you are risking...

    How to handle the user-vars?

Thanks Arno, So I understand that decimal 2 in field 1 and decimal 4 in field 2 for 28c would get the object visible during dusk/dawn/night ? Bjorn

    How to handle the user-vars?

Needed - a "VAR LIST" Hi Arno, I like to tweak a mdl so that it shows only when it is dark (or if not possible only at night). What variable to use and what HEX or DEC value to put into the 2 fields? Is there a written list somewhere where I can read what to put in the HEX/DEC value...

    Library Creator

Hi, I have exported 1 Aircraft MDL from Gmax and tried to make a library. I only get a lot of errors. My install is the very latest avail for both Gmax as well as Libray Creator. Something I do is terribly wrong, please help to pin it down. The error message box in Library...
