• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    FSX Thrust acceleration

Thank you, but it's exceeds my modest knowledge.

FS2004 Gear, rudder and other animations

It was nice in Gmax, but not in FSX. I must make the animation again. ;)

FS2004 Gear, rudder and other animations

Well, this main gear is crazy (nose gear is simple).:D

FS2004 Gear, rudder and other animations

I'll try these, thank you guys. It looks like if a gear animated in two parts, the second doesn't work. If I change the name (it's a group, anyway, does it counts?) to "left_gear01", will it be all right? No, it's a MiG-31.

    FSX Thrust acceleration

Thank you, it works. Because of this (or not - I don't know) it's too fast on low altitude. Can I decrease the speed (and how) on low altitude (on high altitude it's all right).

    FSX Thrust acceleration

Is it possible (and how) to reach faster reaction with thrust? I think it's must be possible somehow, because for example an aircraft reaches full thrust from 50% straight away, but another needs to reach full thrust 5-10 seconds.

FS2004 Gear, rudder and other animations

Thank you very-very much guys! Gears, canopies are working (I made a trick with the gears, now I understand what was the problem) and other small parts too. Only the rudders not. Is there any trick or rule how to name or animate them?

FS2004 Gear, rudder and other animations

    1. I've an aircraft with two vertical stabilizer (see F-15, MiG-29), so I've to animate two rudder. It isn't a problem, but I've no idea how to call them. The names r_rudder and l_rudder doesn't work. The rudder_1 and rudder_2 names are working, but they're wrong, because in this case they use a...

FSXA Turn off ambient sound in VC

I tried to find the solution in other topics without succes, so I'd like to ask help to turn off the ambient sound in the VC. Or is it possible? I mean I use this settings for properties in the .fx file: [Properties] Spot=1 Tower=1 Cockpit=0 VirtualCockpit=0 Map=0 ...but I can hear...

    FS2004 Aircraft gmax export error

Problem solved: The original model was a .max file. I exported it to . obj, than I converted the .obj into .3ds format - and finally imported to gmax. And it's worked! :D The earlier version was made from .max into .3ds and it was imported into gmax. The .obj is the key...

    FS2004 Aircraft gmax export error

This is clear magic for me... :( Can you tell me with more details how to do this, please? Anyway, I reduced the polygon number from 65.000+ under 50.000: now the model looks like this: But this is the original model:

Thank you, Bill. How can I do this?

    FS2004 Aircraft gmax export error

The fuselage and the wings are almost ok: the right wing's color is different and a couple of polys are missing (at the left arrow - on the right it's ok):

    FS2004 Aircraft gmax export error

Dunno. ;) The model is made by someone else, so I've no idea (but I've his permission to use it as a freeware for FS) about it.

    FS2004 Aircraft gmax export error

This is how it looks if I'm exporting the whole model: The fuselage and the gears are missing, other parts are ok, mainly. Strange, the nose is ok - but it's a part of the fuselage... I'll test to export the fuselage and the wings only today.
