• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS Blender cloth simulation baked to bones

Hey This is awesome! Perhaps I'll attempt it soon! I'm in the process of making steam locomotives and needed a way to make the rope for the bell to swing appropriately! This may be my answer! Thanks!

    Blender LOD instructions?

Not a problem. As I said, I’ve been out of sorts for awhile. Trying to get my mojo back. Thanks!

    Blender LOD instructions?

Hmmm, did this thread get hijacked? Nothing personal, but still looking for instructions on how to do & export LOD's for P3D / FSX using Blender. I'm specifically making airport buildings and have NO issues making the models and exporting, but don't understand how to export LOD's. Also, does...

    Blender LOD instructions?

Thank you for your efforts. I truly wasn’t expecting you to do everything, but was (still) hoping that someone who has gone through this would pitch in. I really don’t know why everything is so piecemeal when it comes to content creation and placement. I have found excellent articles and...

    Blender LOD instructions?

Hmmm, Ok, thanks for all of the info, but, I need information / tutorial on P3D at the moment. As you stated above, I'm also not doing anything with MSFS, (including purchasing it) until "they" get most of the issues worked out. TB2

P3D v4 Rain inside hangar vs rain inside airplane

Thank you for the reply. I'll continue to investigate this, (but don't feel too hopeful). IF I come up with a solution (for P3D at least), I'll post it here TB2

    Blender LOD instructions?

Thanks Doug but I’ve not created any LOD for FSX / P3D, I’m asking how to do it! I’ve seen piecemeal tidbits here and there suggesting some inputs, and “they” seem to respond favorably, meaning “they” achieved something, but again, I need a step-by-step approach on how to do it. It’s time...

P3D v4 Rain inside hangar vs rain inside airplane

I know this is an old post, but wondering if anyone has resolved this yet? I'll assume (yes, I know) that the reason it doesn't rain in the cockpit is your using a different model, and for some reason the sim KNOWS your in the cockpit when you use the "interior" model. Which still begs the...

MCX MCX Error "A maximum of 64 are supported per model part"

Thank you for the quick fix! TB2

MCX MCX Error "A maximum of 64 are supported per model part"

I do not see it in default models, and I've tried several. It only seems to be the A2A Cessna 172, Cherokee and Comanche. Strange. Makes me wonder if "they" did something to keep others from fooling around with their models in MCX. I was hoping their P-40 was doing it since it's free and you...

MCX MCX Error "A maximum of 64 are supported per model part"

That’s why I mentioned it. I might have an older version of mcx and can verify on my end which one works. It wasn’t too far back.

MCX MCX Error "A maximum of 64 are supported per model part"

Thanks Arno, 1. I'm using MCX to test the integrity of texture on an aircraft. I've never had this problem before with this or the other aircraft that are causing this issue. 2. It does tend to make MCX a bit sluggish when all it does is continuously spout out the same error message. I...

MCX MCX Error "A maximum of 64 are supported per model part"

Using the latest development release (and was doing the same on a previous recent version), I load some A2A aircraft .mdl and even though the aircraft loads properly, in the event log I get a constant "Object Renderer" error that states ""A maximum of 64 are supported per model part" This is...
