• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    Making VC transparent

I am almost certain is will be drawn black as I've seen that before but I will give it a try. Thanks! You guys have been really helpful. The fact that this aircraft is wonderful as-is and was never designed for what I'm trying to do is not lost on me, it's just that I would at least make a good...

    Making VC transparent

Hi Tom No, I've not tried it because 1) I do not have a clue how to do that sorta stuff :-) and 2) the developer tends to think it probably will not work either. Here was his thoughts: "Hi Eric. I am almost positive that this method won't work, simply because for FSX to even recognize that...

    Making VC transparent

I could do that Bill, but what's the point of trying to fly the thing with the wrong POV? It'd be silly to build a full scale cockpit only to have the POV shifted way out in front of the actual aircraft. Thanks for the idea though, it's appreciated.

    Making VC transparent

Well, deleting the VC would be about the same as commenting it out. The commenting it out prevents it from displaying, and per the developer the logic is in the VC, not the model. So, I do not think that would work.

    Making VC transparent

Hi all I've been working on a project that requires the Virtual Cockpit to not be commented out, but because the project is being used in a full scale cockpit, we need to not have the VC showing (as if it were commented out using //). Is there a way to modify the VC textures so that they are...

    ArcGIS > GMAX

Yes, it helps knowing that there's someone else around that has a similar background and the same tools! Actually although Ive been in GIS for almost 3 years I still have lot to learn there too. I just started trying GMax today but it's accessing it via MS Virtual Earth. I find this weird...

    ArcGIS > GMAX

Hi Airtrooper I am BRAND New at the idea of creating scenery but I use ArcGIS every day at work and I have always wondered if I could use it to create scenery for my local airport, of which I have 1 pixel per meter imagery for. As Im brand new, I have so much to learn and I am feeling a bit...
