• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    @MisiekLi Apron? Polygon?

MSFS20 Introduction to MSFS SDK (scenery)

That's ok. MSFS takes multiple materials for a gLTF file.

They should be separate, so you're doing it right :D

It seems that the model is already unwrapped, no?

    They should be separate

MSFS20 Introduction to MSFS SDK (scenery)

Not the best idea, as the gLTF file format utilises different techniques for rendering that the mdl does not, meaning it might not fit in.

Strange. I've never seen that error before.

The first option has worked for me

Are you saving the polygon and the main airport with the same name?

There is a way, and I can add it to the docs too :)

As SimArc said, the errors are from ContentInfo. You can ignore them, however, as you can see where it says 'Done, 3 asset groups registered'. As long as it doesn't say that any failed, you're good to go :)

I have just added the Adding Custom Objects Via Blender section to the docs, the link is on the first page of this thread.

Inside the scenery editor, press View and then make sure "Objects" is ticked

Make sure you have added an airport first. Objects > Airport >Add. It says so in the manual, so you can look in there (Under 'Creating An Airport' iirc)

Figured it out :) Select always flatten in properties, and in the polygon that has the airport area selected just tick "Terraforming" and that should do it

I haven't experimented with ATC yet, but I will and if I get answers, no doubt it will be added to the docs :)

Hmm. Not really sure. Which area is this? I can play around with it and see if I can find anything

It should work when you place objects, such as a runway, it will flatten that area. You could try outlining the airport with a polygon and setting it to airport area, but I haven't experimented with that yet.
