• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    It's been a while since my last visit but anyway, i tried to get the gauge working again today - couldn't :mad: But, i tried to rename the "C172_VSPDsound.ini" located in D:\FS9\Sound\laura_c172VSPD and i got an error message while loading a flight. I'd call it some sort of success...

    If i click in to the perpective field, it starts going white and i can't see a thing, same if i choose one obejct - alll the fields turn blank :confused: Is this just some setting i screwed up, or should i just reinstall the whole thing ? Thanks

    Maybe another FS9 User could take some time and try this, just to see if this works for FS9 as it does for FSX - thanks These are two lines i added to my .cfg: gauge38=dsd_fsx_xml_sound!Sound, 0, 0, 1, 1,./sound/laura_c172VSPD/C172_VSPDsound.ini gauge39=C172_Sound!speeds, 2,2,2,2

    It is :rolleyes: I got the old sound.dll, so even if i would need it, that wouldn't be the problem. @vololiberista: i tried putting dougs gauge in the main sound folder - still no sounds playing :rolleyes: But - enough for today, i'll try again tomorrow ...

    I followed the instructions step by step, but unfortunately it's not playing :scratchch I'll go over it a few more times, but i'm pretty sure i did everything according to your instructions :rolleyes: EDIT: Only thing i'm confused about is, where is "my" gauge related to doug's sound gauge ...

    :eek: I just do not know how to thank you enough for that :eek: Thank you so much for your effort, that's way more than i could have ever expected :D Reading a document is one thing, but then having the actual example here to look it all up helps to really understand it :idea:
