• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi! i have modelled an helicopter using GMAX (A109E Power)and i have made the gear animation...when i import this copter in FS9 i cant see the gear moving...i only see the gear retracted...why ?

Can anyone help me ?

Have a good day

Marco

I don't believe that the helo model supports retractable gear without some sort of 'cheat.'

can you help me to animate the gear ?

this model is a part of a project that i want to make...a realistic A109E Power...the panel is already completed...if you help me i put your name in developers group!

You might try using an aircraft .air file.

Consider posting this question over on hovercontrol.com where there are a lot of helocopter developers that might be able to tell you.

Well, you could try using one of the other commands, such as tail hook or wing fold...

I don't "do" flingwings myself... ;)

Landing gear animation is perfectly possible in helicopters, you must make sure the correct tags are set in the cfg file, make sure in the contacts section that your type of landing gear is '1' and make sure you have a extend and retraction time as well, then animated landing gear should be possible, I've not had any problems with any of mine over the years, so I know it does work and quite easy to do.
