I am looking for a way to access the chat box available in multiplayer mode. I want to be able to programmatically react on specific commands users enter into the chat box, e.g. "help" or "flightplan" or "points". In turn, I want to respond to these commands by outputting a response text into the chat box.
I have already investigated the SimConnect API but to no avail. There doesn't seem to exist an "official" way to read from or write to the chat box. Interesting enough, there are multiplayer servers around that can do that (e.g. a server named "HippyHappyGermany"). So there must be an undocumented way to get hold of the chat box content (e.g. some area in memory, a DLL function, a way to intercept data written to the box etc.)
Any ideas or comments would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
