• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hey all,

Somehow or another, I have accidentally locked up all of my layers. They all now have an additional saying on the back of the layer name called 'Quick Mask'. I cannot seem to tap into the layers now.

Any idea what I have done wrong to do this? I was typing in a name for a layer, but had forgotten to select the name slot and thats basically how I messed it up.

It seems I can create a 'new' file and its fine, but the other with all my work is frozen, if you would. Even if I duplicate a layer, I cannot seem to do anything with it.

Is it possible that if I cannot find out what this is I have done, can a person merge all the layers into a new file?

Its alot of work and hate to start over. Wings textures with rivets and shading and everything. Alot to redo.

can you toggle quick mask off by clicking on the button at the bottom of your standard tools menu...?
 
Hey Bob,

I couldnt get pop-ups to come up on button names and looked all over for Quick Mask, but couldnt find it. However, I found that of these two buttons under the LH docked tools bar, the RH of the two were depressed which I never remember them being so, so I click the LH of these two rectangles, and bing.. Back in business.
