• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello everybody :D,

it's my fisrt post here, so I present me .

I'm the author of TreeX, PicNic and WWW.
Now I'm working on Pay version Of WWW.

My question is simple :eek::

Is't possible to edit the AGN files for changing the GUID of some building to put in the GUID of no-autogen object?

Regards ;)

Hi,

It should be possible to edit the AGN files, if you know which bytes to touch :).

I am not sure if you can enter just any GUID there, I think it would have to be one defined in the autogen XML file. But why not just give it a try and let us know if it works.

yeah you can tweak the autogen GUID's in the XML file, easily done, did it back in FS2004 and apart from the sim prop binary format needing to be converted to XML in FSX everything else should work for you... :-)

Probably quicker and easier to do it that way than to hack agn files and doing it that way...

That might indeed be easier. The only trouble is to edit that default XML file when you let other people install your scenery. That can become messy if you are not careful...

Hi,

My first idea is create an AGN file with some buidings and change the GUID for have animals for example.
Having birds automaticly over the autogen trees, etc...
Agricol objects on field...

Perhaps look into AGN file with an HEXA editor...

To change the default.xml file is hazardous for me.

Thanks

If I've find somthing, I tell you.

Regards

Aimé
