• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi all,

I could have put my question into the scenery Design, the tools or some other subforum, because my problem could have to do with any of these.
Problem:
I installed some AI F-16, some MAIW heli's, and made flightplans for them using TTools. I also made the necessary parking spots using ADE and converted the plans to FSX using AIFP.
AI craft show up parked and well. They also take off but I haven't been able to see them land. In the Traffic Toolbox they are nowhere to be seen flying and the next instant they are parked. Following them on the radar of a pilotable craft from the airport of origin to the airport of destination shows them to follow the plan and apparently land as they should.
What can be the reason for this quirk?
Something to do with the FP?
Something tio do with the ADE?
The fact that they are FS9 craft?
I could send you the ADE airport bgl or the flightplan or both or whatever you would need to find out what the problem is.
I also tried to watch them land taking into account the fact that AI does not show when you start watching them less than say, to be sure, half an hour in advance.

It sounds like a FP problem. You already have AIFP, so take a little time and learn how to write FPs in it. I think it is easier than Ttools. Start simple, do a two legged FP between two stock airports. Then add your new airport using the add or collect airports function in the airports pulldown menu in AIFP. Then try some FPs for it.

Y9,

And thanks fir the hints.
But there are only two legs.
Ttools companion gives me the following schedule:
Leg FLT # ALT FROM TO DEP TIME ARR TIME FLT TIME GND TIME ERRORS
--- ----- --- ----- ----- ---------- ---------- -------- --------- ------
Daily
1 0010 150 OAKN OAKB 00:00:00 00:36:24 00:36:24 01:23:36
2 0020 161 OAKB OAKN 02:00:00 02:36:24 00:36:24 01:23:36
3 0010 150 OAKN OAKB 04:00:00 04:36:24 00:36:24 01:23:36
4 0020 161 OAKB OAKN 06:00:00 06:36:24 00:36:24 01:23:36
5 0010 150 OAKN OAKB 08:00:00 08:36:24 00:36:24 01:23:36

7 0010 150 OAKN OAKB 12:00:00 12:36:24 00:36:24 01:23:36
8 0020 161 OAKB OAKN 14:00:00 14:36:24 00:36:24 01:23:36
9 0010 150 OAKN OAKB 16:00:00 16:36:24 00:36:24 01:23:36
10 0020 161 OAKB OAKN 18:00:00 18:36:24 00:36:24 01:23:36
11 0010 150 OAKN OAKB 20:00:00 20:36:24 00:36:24 01:23:36
12 0020 161 OAKB OAKN 22:00:00 22:36:24 00:36:24 01:23:36

So they have plenty of time before they leave again.

Fyi,

I found the culprit: the airspeed in the aircraft.txt was set at 700 but the plane is only capable of doing 380 max. That gave indeed problems such as dep. time before arr. etc.
Oh dear, it is past bed time.
Bye for now and thanks.
