• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello,

I have been looking around the forum and through the ADE 1.40 manual but couldn't find what I'm looking for.

Is ADE provide the option to have Animals and People moving around the airport/apron, etc?.... like the fuel vehicule would do. :D

I have few objects that appears moving ( eg: Bears, man, woman) but I would like them to follow a specific path I could draw.

Is this possible?

thanks in advance and thank you for providing us with such great tool :)

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

It is not directly supported in the XML format to have an object move along a certain path. So I don't think ADE has direct support for it.

The fuel trucks are special objects for airports.

Depending on what you want, it might be easier to code the path of the animation inside the MDL object itself.

There is a program called livingworldv1.2 from FSInfoTech.com with which you can make animals (and people and boats and vehicles) follow their own paths. See the thread 'rolling and pitching AIships in FSX' further down.

It is a matter of including the necessary data in the LWcfg (living world cfg) but as it is an .spb file I haven't the faintest how to edit it. But that is what this program is for.
By the way, where would you find animated people?
AIBTC style traffic bgl's do not work for animals apparently. Well, maybe they do but i have not been able to make them walk. They make the movements but don't advance.

Update: you CAN use the AIBTC program on animals. But you have to change the category to 'groundvehicle'. I now have an elephant roaming through town. Funny it is.

Correct, Living World provides an amount of xtra animals and Vehicules but the program itself doesn't allow you to hook it up with ADE in order to keep building your scenery.

I though I could implement a multiple Long/Lat fix points but that's not really easy too!:(

If I understand you correctly, you would like to have, for instance, people wander about on your airport following the vehicle paths for airport traffic that you made with ADE?
If that is the case, then (even if possible) you would have those same people travel on all the vehicle paths on all the airports.
Using AIBTC you can define the routes individually.
In another thread Golf Hotel Delta explained he used AFCAD2 to make the route and copy the coordinates to his KML file so as to have an exact route in FS.
Not sure if this is what you mean?
