Hi all,
I am animating a fairground ride.
All looks ok in Blender, but when in MSFS, parts of the ride are progressively shifting their positions. So the animation is not resetting
to the same starting point and the objects gradually move location. If apply all transforms in Blender then my objects move to totally the wrong position within my scene.
My ride is effectively 1 main three-pronged star and three smaller three-pronged stars attached to the end of the arms of the main star. To animate I rotated the main star (a separate object) 360 degrees.
Then I rotated and moved each of the smaller stars (separate objects) so that they remained in the correct position at the end of the arms of the main star but rotating.
The problem is that the smaller stars are gradually shifting their location and don't restart at the correct location after one full animation cycle. The main star behaves correctly as
this only had a rotation in the animation. The smaller stars had rotation and move animated and I believe this to be the problem.
Instead of using MOVE as part of the animation I tried to parent each of the smaller stars to the main star but this didnt work, cancelling the smaller stars rotation and sending
the origin location point out of whack.
I have not reset or applied any transforms as that seems to throw everything out of position, even in Blender.
Any help appreciated.
I hope that you can understand what I am trying to achieve as it is difficult to explain but as I say all looks fine
in Blender so I suspect it is something to do with applying transforms that is the issue.
Thanks
Stinger
