SAMM may report that it cannot find the model file for what appears to be an otherwise perfectly good model. This may be due to the "normal=" line in the model.cfg file being suffixed with ".mdl".
I could find no documentation on the model.cfg file. So, when I developed SAMM. I checked a wide variety of aircraft. None had the ".mdl" suffix, so I assumed that was the "rule". Turns out not to be the case. FlightSim doesn't "care" whether or not the ".mdl" suffix is present. Future versions of SAMM won't care either.
In the meantime, if you get this error, check the model.cfg file. If the "normal=" line has that suffix, delete the suffix and all should be well.
